  • Newsletter: your email and your acceptance of this policy.
  • Browsing: technical connection data (such as your IP address or browser type) logged by the server and, only if you accept them, usage data through analytics cookies.

We do not need special categories of data (health, beliefs, etc.): please do not include them in your message.

What we use it for and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your contact request. Receiving your message, sending you an acknowledgement and replying to you. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries we receive (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Sending you the newsletter. Emailing you our news. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 21 of Spanish Law 34/2002, LSSI), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Measuring use of the website. Understanding, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it, with Google Analytics. Legal basis: your consent, given or withdrawn in the cookie settings (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22(2) LSSI). If you do not give it, these tools are not loaded.
  • Keeping the website secure and running. Serving the website and preventing abuse, such as automated bot submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who we share it with

We do not sell or disclose your data to third parties, except where required by law. To provide the service we rely on these providers, who act as processors on our behalf:

  • Resend (USA): sends the contact form emails: your message to our hello@weareoverview.com inbox and the acknowledgement to your email.
  • Google (Google Workspace / Gmail): hosts our email, where we receive and reply to your messages.
  • Google (Google Analytics): measures use of the website, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Notion Labs, Inc. (USA): stores the newsletter subscriber list.
  • Netlify, Inc. (USA): hosts the website and processes requests, including form submissions.
  • Vimeo, Inc. (USA): plays the videos embedded in articles, in “do not track” mode (no tracking cookies). It receives your IP address when the video loads.

International transfers

Some of these providers are based in the United States or may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, the transfer is covered by the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider has signed up to it, or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

How long we keep it

  • Contact: for as long as needed to handle your request and, if we start a professional relationship, for as long as it lasts. After that, blocked for the statutory limitation periods for any liabilities.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics: the periods set out in the Cookie policy.
  • Server technical logs: the period set by the hosting provider for security reasons.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw any consent you have given (for example, to unsubscribe from the newsletter), by writing to hello@weareoverview.com or to our postal address. Tell us which right you wish to exercise; if we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask you to prove it.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es), C/ Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid, Spain.
